Vignette Press is an indie press in Melbourne that publishes quirky books and magazines.

Formerly operating as Wannabee Publishing, we’ve been in existence since 1995 and plan to stick around for many more years to come. Our unique publications may be a little different to anything you’ve seen before, but we’re confident you’ll enjoy reading what we concoct. Vignette Press aims to:

Produce high-quality printed and mixed media publications that are innovative, attractive and interesting.

Create opportunities for writers to be profitably published and read by a wide audience, including new, emerging and non-mainstream voices.

Exist as an advocate for independent publishing, including as a role model for environmental sustainability in the industry.

Lisa Dempster was the publisher of Vignette Press from 2006 – April 2011.

Amy Espeseth’s reign as publisher has included Geek Mook and Fat Mook. What might be next?

Vignette Press publishes infrequently. Please don’t send your manuscript.

    Hi Melinda,

Thanks for stopping by the website. When a new venture is officially in the works, we’ll post a call-out for submissions here and elsewhere. Exciting things are underway, so keep an eye out….
